Event Registration, Participation and Attendance Terms and Conditions

  1. Acceptance of Terms
  1. By registering for this event you agree to abide by these terms and conditions for online participation or in person attendance. If you do not agree, please do not register, participate or attend.
  1. Registration and Payment
    1. All participants must complete the online registration form to participate or attend the event.
    2. After you have submitted your registration you will receive an email confirmation from us which sets out your order details, a link to pay and other useful information.
    3. Registration is subject to availability and may close once maximum capacity is reached.
    4. Registration fees (if applicable) must be paid in full.
    5. Your place is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received and you receive an email from us confirming your place is booked.
    6. You are responsible for checking that your order details are correct. Please inform us of any changes to your contact details.
    7. We reserve the right to ask you to provide proof of status.
    8. Registration fees are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to changes.
    9. Early Bird discounts are only applicable for courses purchased before the specified deadline, as detailed on the website at the time of booking. If you purchase a course during the Early Bird period, the discounted rate will apply. If you change or remove a course during the Early Bird period, the discount will continue to apply to any remaining courses. However, any new courses added or changes made after the Early Bird deadline will be charged at the standard rate.
    10. Payment before the registration deadline 20 April is due within 14 days of receiving the email in point 2.2.
    11. Payment after the registration deadline 20 April is due within 24 hours of receiving the email in point 2.2.
    12. Changes to registrations and invoices are subject to a €30 administration fee.
    13. Payment of all registration fees must be made in full prior to the start of the event. 
    14. Payment of bank transfer charges is your responsibility.
    15. If registration fees have not been paid when they are due, we reserve the right to cancel your registration. 
    16. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the cancellation policy.
    17. If you breach this clause 2, we reserve the right to terminate this agreement immediately by giving you written notice.
  1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
    1. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@methodsnet.org.
    2. We reserve the right to cancel an event at our discretion for any reason and at any time. If an event is cancelled, we will refund any registration fees paid, and notify you of the cancellation.
    3. In line with the EU Consumer Protection Regulations, if you are a consumer, as opposed to a business customer, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period, starting on the day that we receive your registration payment. During the cooling-off period, you have the right to cancel/withdraw and receive a full refund provided you have not attended or engaged with the event. Refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.
    4. After the 14-day cooling-off period (if you are a consumer), cancellations/withdrawals are NOT eligible for a refund, but may be eligible for a credit at the discretion of the organizers, which is valid for a 12 month period only.
    5. If a course is cancelled by us, you will be offered a place on another course of your choice, or a full refund. 
  1. Venue and Special Requirements
    1. You must comply with the rules and regulations governing the venue. If you bring any property to the venue, you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss and/or damage to such property. 
    2. Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Everyone is expected to adhere to both our Code of Conduct and CEU’s
    3. We reserve the right to refuse access to the event if we consider a person to be unsuitable for admission. If a person’s conduct at an event is detrimental to the reputation of the event and not in the best interests of the other attendees, your participation in the event may be terminated by asking you to leave. If you are excluded from the event because of this, you will not be entitled to any refund.
    4. It is your responsibility to advise when you register of any allergies, special dietary requirements and medical conditions you have which may impact your health and wellbeing during the event or which might mean you need assistance.
  1. Event Changes
    1. We reserve the right to make any changes to the event at any time without prior written notice. These changes may include changing the venue, any aspects of the programme, courses, dates and times.
    2. Any discounts or offers advertised may be subject to availability and l additional terms and conditions.
  1. Data Protection
    1. We will collect personal data during registration. We shall process personal data as an independent Data Controller and in accordance with our Privacy Policy
    2. We will send emails to inform you of important information relating to the event, such as changes to the programme or reminders.
  1. Photography and Recording
    1. Participants may be photographed or recorded during the event. By attending, you consent to the use of your image and likeness in promotional materials. 
    2. We may use this media on our website, social media and printed materials.
    3. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the event staff or email info@methodsnet.org.
  1. Term and Termination
    1. This Agreement is effective from the day we confirm your booking until the last day of the event.
    2. We may terminate this agreement at any time by giving you written notice.
  1. General
    1. By attending the event, participants acknowledge that they are voluntarily participating and assume all risks associated with attendance.
    2. The organizer is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event, except as required by law.
    3. This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by the laws of Belgium and subject to the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts.
    4. Force Majeure Event: The organizers shall not  be held liable or responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under this agreement due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, strikes, labor disputes, governmental actions, power outages, cyberattacks, or any other unforeseen event that prevents or hinders performance (each, a “Force Majeure Event”). In the event of a Force Majeure Event: The affected party shall notify the other party in writing as soon as reasonably possible, specifying the nature of the event and the anticipated duration of its impact. The obligations of the affected party shall be suspended for the duration of the Force Majeure Event, provided that the affected party takes reasonable steps to mitigate its effects. If the Force Majeure Event continues, either party may terminate this Agreement upon written notice to the other party, without liability for such termination. This clause does not excuse the organizers obligation to make payments due under this agreement unless the Force Majeure Event directly affects the ability to make such payments.
